Home Services Regular events A Living Church Church Building Who's Who Links Holy Trinity & St. Matthias Church
Parish of Tulse Hill
After the successful completion of the restoration of our church spire, we re-visited the plans to erect a new large hall at the back of the church. A feasibility study was commissioned and plans have been designed to take account of the following brief;

Meeting rooms for up to six Sunday school groups in a range of sizes from 30 people down to 20 people;

Full catering standard kitchen capable of feeding a sit-down meal of 150 people in the main hall;

An inviting, exciting and independent entrance into the hall complex;

A main hall capable of seating 150 people with the option of erecting a marquee to cater for larger gatherings;

A cafe area linked to the entrance and to the kitchen;

Linking of the halls to the existing church through the southern transept opening and the existing crypt area;

A parish office which is close to the entrance area and can be used by the premises manager as necessary;

Storage rooms for chairs, tables and other materials linked to the hall area;

Built-in cupboard storage in the rooms;

The halls to have their own heating, lighting and security systems, linked as necessary to the systems in the church;

The halls to have the necessary toilets including shower facilities;

The main hall to be made as sound-proof as is reasonable;

We are all excited by this project, which will serve both the church and the community. We are continuing to look at our vision for a new Community Hall, and this is very much a developing project in  the making.  In the meantime, a special Phase IV  Community Hall Appeal Fund has been set up for donations.
